Founded in 2022 by basketball enthusiasts Russell and Chelsea Halls, our mission is simple: to ​create a fun and dynamic space for basketball lovers of all ages. From the local courts to big ​tournaments, we’ve been growing fast and making our mark.

We proudly host Summer and Winter Domestic Competitions, as well as thrilling 3x3 Tournaments, ​giving players at all levels a chance to showcase their skills and fuel their love for the game. Whether ​you're a young rising star, a seasoned player, or just someone who loves the sport, there’s a place ​for you in our community.

In 2023, our Under 16 Girls team made waves by taking home the Division 1 Championship at the ​prestigious Eltham Dandenong Tournament—a proud moment that shows our commitment to ​fostering talent and success.

Mini Shooters

Ages 5-7

This is the perfect place for your child to learn the ​basics of basketball in a playful and supportive ​environment. Our coaches focus on teamwork, ​confidence, and motor skills through fun games and ​activities. From learning how to dribble and pass to ​making their first basket, every moment is a ​celebration! No experience is necessary just lots of ​energy and a big smile. Join us for high-fives, new ​friends, and a slam dunk of a good time!

Get ready to shoot, dribble, and score with the Rising ​Stars Program! This is where young players level up ​their skills and have a blast doing it. Our program ​teaches everything from shooting hoops to defensive ​moves, all while emphasizing teamwork and ​sportsmanship. With a focus on fun and improvement, ​each session is packed with games, challenges, and ​tons of high-fives. So lace up those sneakers, bring ​your game face, and join us for a season full of laughs, ​learning, and basketball action!

Step onto the court and unleash your inner ​champion with Our Girls Zone Basketball ​Program! Designed exclusively for girls and ​led by an all-female coaching team, this ​program empowers our young female ​athletes to shine both on and off the court. ​Our female coaches bring expertise, ​enthusiasm, and a unique perspective to ​each practice, focusing on building skills, ​confidence, and teamwork in a supportive ​environment, packed with fun, challenge, ​and camaraderie. Join us to make friends, ​improve your game, and experience the ​thrill of basketball with inspiring role ​models leading the way!

Our Pelicans Academy where passion meets precision, and every player is empowered to reach their full ​potential. Our academy is designed for aspiring basketball stars who are ready to take their game to the ​highest level. With a commitment to excellence, we offer comprehensive training programs that cover all ​aspects of the sport, from fundamental skills to advanced techniques, ensuring our athletes are prepared ​for domestic, state, and national competitions.

Our Pelican teams have the opportunity to compete across many levels in 3x3 and 5x5 Competitions.

Domestic and State Competitions:

At Elite Basketball Academy, we believe in nurturing talent through competitive play. Our players gain ​invaluable experience by participating in top-tier domestic and state tournaments, where they can ​showcase their skills and compete against some of the best teams in their region. Our expert coaches ​provide personalized training to help athletes excel in these high-stakes environments, focusing on ​strategy, teamwork, and performance under pressure.

National Competitions:

For those aiming to make their mark on the national stage, our academy offers rigorous preparation for ​national competitions. We provide specialised training and strategic insights to ensure our players are at ​their best when representing the Pelicans in competitions such as Eltham Dandenong. Our comprehensive ​approach to conditioning, skill development, and mental toughness prepares athletes to compete fiercely ​in national leagues and tournaments, setting them up for success against top teams from across the ​country.

Country Championships:

Elite Basketball Academy players also have the opportunity to compete in prestigious country ​championships. These tournaments bring together the best talent from various regions, offering a platform ​for our athletes to demonstrate their skills on a larger stage. We provide tailored coaching to help our ​players navigate the complexities of these high-profile events, focusing on game strategy, adaptability, and ​peak performance.

International Competitions:

For those with international ambitions, our academy prepares athletes for global competition, We offer ​specialised training for each format, emphasizing skills, tactics, and strategies specific to the international ​arena. Our players are given the tools and experience needed to compete in international tournaments, ​where they can test their abilities against top players from around the world. With a focus on global ​competition, we ensure our athletes are equipped to handle diverse playing styles and high-pressure ​situations.

Join us for our Summer Domestic Competitions running during ​Terms 4 & 1 at The MALC Pinjarra

There's no need for club affiliation, allowing you to sport your own ​jerseys with visible numbers and even add names!

We permit any basketball shorts, provided they are pocket-free. ​The Pelicans will also be offering shorts for purchase at $35.

Our Competition fees are just $25 for team nomination, then ​individual fees apply:

• $200 Under 8's & 10's
• $245 Under 12's, 14's & 16's
• $285 Seniors Per Player

3x3 is one of the newest and most exciting games to ​hit Australia join us at The MALC Pinjarra where ​teams compete in a fun atmosphere to see who will ​be the 3x3 Champion!

All you need is a team of 3 or 4 to hit the half court for ​10 minutes of the most intense Basketball you will ​Play our competitions are open to:

Get ready for a slam dunk of fun at our Women’s Morning Sessions This is not your average basketball ​game session it's an opportunity to enjoy the game, make new friends, and embrace the joy of playing in a ​relaxed and lively atmosphere.

Our session is designed for women of all skill levels who want to enjoy the game without the pressure of ​intense competition. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to shoot some hoops for fun, you’ll ​find the perfect mix of action and relaxation, with friendly, high-energy games that emphasize teamwork ​and enjoyment.

Our sessions are a great way to meet new people who share your love for basketball and fun as we create ​a welcoming and positive environment where everyone feels encouraged and supported. Our friendly ​coaches and facilitators ensure that the atmosphere is upbeat, inclusive, and filled with high-fives and ​smiles.

Stick around after the game for some casual hangout time. Whether it's grabbing a snack at the MALC ​canteen or just chatting with fellow players, it is a perfect way to unwind and extend the fun.

The MALC in Pinjarra also has Creche facilities to look after your little ones or they can watch Mummy play ​its up to you.

hOME sCHOOL Program

Our Home School Basketball Program, where education and athletic development come together in a ​dynamic and supportive environment. Designed specifically for home-schooled students, this program ​offers a unique opportunity to blend academic flexibility with the excitement of competitive basketball, ​Every Thursday from 2 pm till 3 pm during the school term at the MALC in Pinjarra3 pm

Our program is designed for all ages and all skill levels and focuses on developing fundamental basketball ​skills, including dribbling, shooting, passing, and defence. We offer personalized coaching that caters to ​different skill levels, from beginners to more advanced players, ensuring each participant receives the ​attention and instruction they need to improve.

Beyond individual skills, we emphasize the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership. ​Through collaborative drills and team-building exercises, students learn the value of working together, ​respecting their peers, and showing resilience both on and off the court.
